EVANSTON — Three outstanding scholar athletes from Evanston Township High School were honored Oct. 23 at the weekly meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Evanston.

The students, all seniors, represented several sports at the high school. Justin Bishop, a standout in track and field and football; Gabby Nottage, captain of the girls’ basketball team; and Jonathan Balthazar, boys’ soccer, were honored. Each of the students shared their future plans after graduation and ironically all named math as their favorite subject.

As recognition, each student received a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble, a book on leadership and certificate of recognition. As of 2012, the club has honored over 100 students for their stellar school records.
