Evanston man charged in pizza delivery robbery

EVANSTON —An 18-year-old Evanston man has been charged with the armed robbery of a Sarpino’s delivery driver at knife-point in the early morning of Sept. 8.

Terrell L. Farmby, was arrested Oct. 24 and charged with one count of armed robbery, a Class X felony, police said in a news release. A second offender is still being sought in the investigation, police said.

The reported incident occurred when a Sarpino’s Pizza delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint while delivering two pizzas at approximately 3:15 a.m. to an address in the 800 block of Dobson.

Detectives following up on the investigation developed information on a possible offender, police said. The victim was able to later identify Farmby in a line-up conducted by detectives at the Evanston Police Department station, according to authorities.

As a result, Farmby was charged in the incident. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 20 at the Skokie 2nd Municipal District Circuit courthouse, located at 5600 Old Orchard Road.
