Evanston Police Blotter for the week of Oct. 11, 2012

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

BURGLARY

Someone removed cash from a 2007 Hyundai parked on the 1600 block of Monroe on Oct. 3 or Oct. 4.

A Samsung cell phone and GPS were stolen from a 2006 Honda parked on the 400 block of Ashland Avenue on Sept. 29 or Sept. 30.

Some cash, an Apple iPod, and GPS were stolen from a 2006 Buick and 2009 Jeep parked in an apartment parking lot on the 500 block of Kedzie on Sept. 27 or Sept. 28.

A laptop computer, some cash and a bicycle were taken from an unlocked single-family residence on the 1400 block of Noyes on Oct. 2.

AUTO THEFT

A white Pathfinder was stolen from the 600 block of Michigan Avenue on Oct. 1.

BATTERY

Michael L. Grigsby, 61, of 2714 W. Fargo, Chicago, was arrested at the police station, 1454 Elmwood, on Oct. 1 and charged with simple battery. He is due in court Nov. 6.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Quintella M. John, 27, of 10604 S. Walden Parkway, Chicago, was arrested at 1826 Lemar on Oct. 1 and charged with criminal damage to property. He was due in court Oct. 11.

criminal trespass

Octavius Miles, 21, of 116 Clyde, was arrested at Dodge and Washington on Sept. 30 and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He is due in court Nov. 6.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Dwayne J. Ray, 45, no address listed, was arrested at 860 Chicago Ave. on Sept. 30 and charged with aggravated assault. He is due in court Oct. 23.

An unknown offender threatened a victim with a handgun in an incident at a gas station on the 100 block of Chicago Ave. on Oct. 4 around 10:20 p.m.

DRUGS

Jeffrey Alan Craig, II, 21, of 1827 Lyons, was arrested at 1811 Lyons on Oct. 4 and charged with possession of marijuana. He is due in court Nov. 2.

Edwin Cueva Aguilar, 22, of 3136 N. Linder, Chicago, was arrested at 1740 Sherman Ave. on Oct. 3 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due in court Nov. 9.

Sandra Aguilar, 26, of 1108 Jackson, Wauconda, was arrested at 1500 Elmwood on Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana. She is due in court Nov. 1.

Lisa Ann Wheeler, 54, of 1028 Greenleaf, was arrested at 1606 Greenleaf on Oct. 2 and charged with possession of marijuana. She is due in court Nov. 6.

THEFT

Anthony Lemar, 22, of 9638 Avenue M in Chicago, was arrested at 101 Ridge Ave. on Sept. 30 and charged with retail theft. He is due in court Nov. 14.

Charles Walter Altmaier, 59, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave., on Oct. 1 and charged with retail theft. He is due in court Oct. 23.

An unknown individual removed gas from a victim’s 2007 Honda as it was parked in a driveway on the 400 block of Florence Avenue on Oct. 2.

A Samsonite wallet with contents was removed from an unlocked gym locker at the McGaw YMCA, 1000 Grove St., on Oct. 3 in the afternoon.

A brush that attaches to a power washer and some tools and equipment were taken from a sidewalk on the 600 block of Main Street on Oct. 4.
