The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

ARMED ROBBERY

Three masked offenders on Sept. 25 took a victim’s white Apple cell phone in a black case along with some cash in an incident at Lyons and Darrow.

Assault

On Sept. 21 an unknown offender approached a victim while yelling and then attempted to hit the person in an incident in a grocery store on the 200 block of Main Street.

DRUGS

J.M. Salver, 51, of 1207 W. Leland, Chicago, was arrested at 1816 Dodge Ave. on Sept. 26 and charged with possession of methamphetamine. He is due in court Oct. 17.

AUTO THEFT

Someone stole a 1993 Nissan four-door Maxima from the 1300 block of Dobson sometime on Sept. 26 or Sept. 27.

BATTERY

A store employee was struck by a woman in the parking lot of a business on the 2400 block of Howard St., on Sept. 26 around 9:24 p.m. as he attempted to stop perpetrators of a retail theft.

On Sept. 25 an unknown offender hit a victim in the mouth with an unknown object in an incident on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Asbury Ave.

Darryl Harry, 43, of 1815 Church, Evanston, was arrested at 139 Ashland on Sept. 20 and charged with domestic battery. He was due in court Sept. 26.

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

A car key and two house keys were taken Sept. 25 from a victim on the 500 block of Wesley Ave. after the offender displayed a plastic gun.

BURGLARY

Dennis M. Alexander, 55, of 1458 Chicago Ave., Evanston, was arrested at Maple and Grove on Sept. 25 and charged with burglary. He is due in court Oct. 4.

A Canon video camera, remote control video accessory and other items were taken from a business on the 600 block of Davis St. on Sept. 22.

A Macbook laptop was removed from an unlocked apartment on the 1600 block of Ridge on Sept. 24 or Sept. 25.

A wallet and Apple cell phone were taken from an unlocked 2011 Jeep parked on the 1000 block of Sherman on Sept. 21 or Sept. 22.

A red Raleigh bike with thin racing tires was removed from a garage on the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue on Sept. 22.

THEFT

A wallet with contents, cell phone and backpack were taken from a locked gym locker at a facility in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue on Sept. 26.

Some diapers were removed from a grocery store on the 2400 block of Howard Street on Sept. 25.

A thin gold chain with an “N” pendant was taken off a victim’s neck in a grocery store on the 2400 block of Main Street on Sept. 25.

Diamond earrings were removed from an apartment on the 3200 block of Grant Street between Aug. 23 and Sept. 24.

Keys and a Coach wallet were removed from a briefcase at a hospital/hospice recovery center on the 300 block of Ridge Avenue on Sept. 24.

A red, white and blue Schwinn bicycle which had been locked to a pole was removed from school grounds on the 400 block of Ridge Avenue on Sept. 25.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A victim’s garden hose was cut in a yard on the 1000 block of Greenleaf Street on Sept. 25.~.
