The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Two males were seen on camera pushing over flower pots on the sidewalk around 4:28 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Howard Street.
Some graffiti was scribbled on a mailbox around 11:02 a.m. Friday on the 600 block of Custer Avenue.
Someone scrawled graffiti on a stop sign around 9:16 a.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Chicago Avenue.
Someone threw a rock through the rear passenger window of a 2009 Nissan parked on the street shortly after midnight Sunday near Grey Avenue and Church Street.
Someone smashed the rear window of a 1976 Cadillac parked in a residential driveway sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 12:01 a.m. Saturday on the 2900 block of Harrison Street.
Someone damaged a fence in the yard of a single-family home sometime between 12:01 a.m. Friday and 2:05 p.m. Saturday on the 2000 block of Church Street.
Someone spray-painted a silver stripe on a 2002 Toyota sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. July 7 on the 1700 block of South Boulevard.
Someone used an unknown object to scratch the door of a garage sometime between 6 p.m. July 6 and 3:08 p.m. July 7 on the 1300 block of Church Street.
Someone broke an apartment building window around 1:31 p.m. July 6 on the 1900 block of Howard Street.
Someone scrawled graffiti on a light pole sometime before 1:30 p.m. July 6 at Central Street and Bryant Avenue.
A 200-pound male dented the sliding door of a 2005 Dodge sometime between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. July 6 as the vehicle was parked on the street, on the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Graffiti was placed on a mailbox around 7 a.m. July 6 in the yard of a home near Custer Avenue and Linden Place.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Three people, two from Evanston and one from Chicago, were arrested at 4:06 a.m. July 6 at 1815 Brown Ave. and charged with criminal trespass to land. Michael Thomas Belski, 20, of 1567 Dodge Ave., Evanston; Nicholas Alexander Middleton, 20, of 6920 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago; and Johnnie Lavell Richardson, 23, of 1910 Emerson St., Evanston are due in court Aug. 10 on the trespass charge. Later that day, Richardson was arrested at 3:15 p.m. at the Evanston Police Station, 1454 Elmwood Ave., and charged with domestic battery; he is due in court July 20 on that charge.
BURGLARY
A male burglar stole an Apple iPod around 6:15 a.m. Sunday from an unlocked 2011 Toyota parked on the street on the 900 block of Ridge Court.
A Garmin Global Positioning System navigation unit, along with Rayban and Ralph Lauren designer sunglasses, was stolen from a 2008 Hyundai that was parked in an unlocked residential garage on the 2300 block of Cowper Avenue. The burglary occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday.
Michael Allen, 18, of 1800 W. Albion St., Chicago, was arrested at 6:21 a.m. Sunday at 923 Ridge Court and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. He is due in court Aug. 25.
Someone slashed a screen and broke the outside window glass in an attempted burglary of a business on the 900 block of Grove Street. The burglary occurred sometime between 5:40 p.m. Friday and 9:45 a.m. Monday.
Someone tried to burglarize a 2011 Honda around 11:47 p.m. Sunday as it was parked by the curb on the 1400 block of Seward Street. An alarm sounded, however, during an attempt to open a car window.
Prentice Floyd Phillips, 46, of 1458 Chicago Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 6:20 a.m. Sunday at 1800 Lyons St. and charged with burglary from a motor vehicle. Phillips is due in court July 18.
Some cash, a small safe and some legal papers were taken sometime between 4 p.m. July 5 and 1:40 p.m. Saturday from a residence on the 1200 block of Monroe Street. Someone slashed a screen in an open bedroom window to commit the burglary.
An Apple Macbook notebook computer and some cash were stolen around 8 p.m. Saturday from a locked announcer’s booth at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave.
A black leather wallet was stolen sometime between 2 a.m. and 11 a.m. July 6 from an unlocked porch on the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue.
An HTC Touch Pro 2 mobile telephone was stolen around 1:10 p.m. Sunday from an unlocked 1997 Chrysler parked by the curb on the 1900 block of Emerson Street.
Some cash was taken sometime between July 1 and July 5 from the medical office by St. Francis Hospital, on the 800 block of Austin Street.
Two mobile phones, a digital music player and house keys were stolen around 9 a.m. Saturday from an unlocked apartment on the 100 block of Clyde Avenue.
An Apple notebook computer and an L.L. Bean backpack, along with its contents, were stolen from an unlocked single-family home sometime between 9 p.m. July 7 and 3 a.m. July 8 on the 1200 block of Maple Avenue.
Someone attempted unsuccessfully to break into a single-family home by smashing the rear kitchen window sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday on the 1600 block of Washington Street.
Someone attempted unsuccessfully to break into a single-family home by slashing the screen on a rear window around 4:16 p.m. July 1 on the 2600 block of Noyes Street.
Someone stole jewelry by breaking the front-door frame at a retirement home around 12 p.m. Saturday on the 3200 block of Grant Street.
A Garmin Global Positioning System navigation unit was stolen from an unlocked 2010 Honda parked on the street sometime between 5 p.m. July 2 and 9:30 p.m. July 5 on the 500 block of Sheridan Square.
A Magellan GPS navigation unit was stolen sometime between 8:30 p.m. July 6 and 8:15 a.m. July 7 from an unlocked 2009 Pontiac parked in the yard of a home on the 2300 block of Foster Street.
A Garmin GPS navigation unit was stolen from an unlocked 2003 Mercedes Benz that was parked in a residential driveway sometime between 12:01 a.m. July 6 and 10:47 a.m. July 7 on the 2200 block of Foster Street.
A Hewlett-Packard glossy black notebook computer, some cash, and credit and debit cards were stolen sometime between 2:50 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. July 7 at a home on the 1700 block of Dempster Street. Someone slashed a screen door to commit the burglary.
A resident arrived home to find a male burglar leaving the place around 1:40 p.m. July 6 on the 1700 block of Grey Avenue. Nothing was stolen in the burglary.
A male burglar stole a silver Trek bicycle and a blue-and-silver bicycle around 8:37 p.m. July 6 from a garage — left unlocked — on the 800 block of Madison Street.
A platinum and silver Fuji bicycle was taken from a garage on the 1200 block of Noyes on July 1 around 11:22 p.m.
Someone stole a blue Next bicycle around 9 p.m. July 5 from a residential garage on the 700 block of Dobson Street.
A male offender entered a screened porch to activate a garage door opener, and then stole a platinum-and-navy-blue colored Fuji bicycle from the garage around 11:22 p.m. July 1 on the 1200 block of Noyes Street.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Shami Omar Cox, 19, of 8545 Christiana Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. July 6 at 1810 Church St. and charged with aggravated assault. Cox is due in court Aug. 5.
ASSAULT
Police are investigating a domestic-related aggravated assault incident around 8:50 p.m. July 7 at an apartment on the 2000 block of Grey Avenue.
Police are investigating a domestic-related assault incident around 4:01 p.m. Saturday at a single-family home on the 2400 block of Nathaniel Place.
Julius J. Mackey, 50, of 2404 Nathaniel Place, Evanston, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. Saturday at that address and charged with assault. His court appearance was scheduled for July 13.
Cardanell Desmond Warren, 38, of 2010 Grey Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Friday at 5400 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, and charged with aggravated assault. He is due in court July 20.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Reginald Thomas Blakemore, 28, of 7448 N. Seeley Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Asbury Ave. and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court July 20.
Andrew Carl Quinn, 46, of 1224 Mulford St., Evanston, was arrested at 4 p.m. July 5 at the Evanston Police Station, 1454 Elmwood Ave., and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court July 20.
BATTERY
Police are investigating a battery at a service station that occurred around 5:12 p.m. Friday on the 100 block of Howard Street. The victim said an attack by a man and a woman was unprovoked.
Marcella Flores, 40, of 737 Dobson St., Evanston, was arrested at 12:31 p.m. Saturday at that address and charged with battery. Flores is due in court Aug. 5.
A male stranger hit a victim at a park sometime around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Sheridan Road.
A female offender committed a battery around 9:49 p.m. Sunday on the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue.
Someone pushed the victim in an incident that took place around 11:42 a.m. July 6 in a 1993 Toyota parked on the 900 block of Sherman Avenue.
A male offender spit on his victim in a recovery center around 7:36 p.m. July 5 on the 2300 block of Foster Street.
Edward Preston Clark, 87, of 4920 N. Kenmore Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. July 7 at 1640 Chicago Ave. and charged with simple battery. He is due in court Aug. 10.
A male offender struck his victim in the face around 10:27 p.m. July 6 on the 1600 block of Benson Avenue.
John M. Toledo, 25, of 5313 Conrad St., Skokie, was arrested at 11:42 a.m. July 7 at 900 Sherman Ave. and charged with aggravated battery. He is due in court Aug. 3.
ARSON
A male offender set fire to a 2003 Chevrolet around 9:43 p.m. July 6 on the 1900 block of Grey Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT
A Guess black purse, along with its contents, was stolen around 3:48 p.m. Sunday from the Target store on the 2200 block of Howard Street.
Eric Dale Moore, 32, of 1639 Oakwood Ave., Des Plaines, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Evanston Police Station, 1454 Elmwood Ave., and charged with retail theft. He is due in court Aug. 5.
A female offender stole clothing around 6:46 p.m. July 7 from the Urban Outfitters store on the 900 block of Church Street.
Johanna Marie Wieboldt Rosenberg, 19, of 1029 Pontiac Road, Wilmette, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. July 7 at the Urban Outfitters store, 921 Church St., and charged with retail theft. She is due in court Aug. 5.
A male and a female stole a brass valve, compost, seeds, magazine and flame protector around 3:45 p.m. June 30 from the Home Depot store on the 2300 block of Oakton Street.
Norman Naji Kishtani, 66, and Noelle H. Yezeguielian, 76, both of 7405 N. Fairfield Ave., Chicago, were arrested at 3:45 p.m. June 30 at 2301 Oakton St., and charged with retail theft. They are due in court Aug. 10.
THEFT
A 2007 Yamaha motorcycle cover was stolen sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday from an apartment parking lot on the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue.
A male thief stole an unlocked black Giant Escape 2 bicycle from a sidewalk around 7:18 p.m. Monday on the 800 block of Davis Street.
Someone stole an unlocked light blue Schwinn bicycle around 3:09 p.m. Monday from the common area of an apartment or condominium building on the 1200 block of Elmwood Avenue.
Some garden equipment left unattended were stolen around 4 p.m. Monday in an alley on the 1900 block of Foster Street.
Charles David Gordon, 19, of 8937 S. Ridgeland Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 10 a.m. Saturday at that address and charged with theft. He is due in court July 18.
Some keys, left in the door, were stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday at a home on the 2400 block of Wade Street.
Some solar lights were stolen sometime between 5:26 p.m. July 6 and 5:26 p.m. Friday from the yard of a single-family home on the 700 block of WesleyAvenue.
Someone stole a 26-inch Specialized black bicycle that had been locked in the common area of an apartment or condominium building around 2:15 p.m. July 5 on the 500 block of Custer Avenue.
Two males stole a red Schwinn bicycle that had been left unlocked in the yard of a home around 5:41 p.m. Friday on the 800 block of Lee Street.
Michael James Higgins, 25, of 4331 S. Prairie Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. July 7 at 1618 Benson Ave. and charged with theft. He is due in court Aug. 12.
A male offender and a female offender stole a purse, along with its contents, around 1:30 p.m. Friday at a restaurant on the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue.
A male offender stole a tip jar containing cash around 6:59 p.m. Friday at a restaurant on the 800 block of Church Street.
Someone tampered with the pumps to change the price of gas sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. July 6 at the Valero service station on the 400 block of Asbury Avenue.
Someone stole a white and blue bicycle, left unlocked in an alley, around 3:45 p.m. July 7 on the 1300 block of Oak Avenue.
A dark green Giant girls bicycle was stolen around 3:30 p.m. July 7 from the porch of a residence on the 2000 block of Maple Avenue.
Someone stole a grey Toshiba notebook computer and keys to a 2004 Nissan sometime between 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. July 7 in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center on the 900 block of Noyes Street. The loss was estimated at more than $500.
A Coach purse, along with its contents, was stolen off the back of a chair at a restaurant sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. July 6 on the 500 block of Dempster Street.
Someone stole a boy’s bicycle — a white, 52-centimeter Bridgestone X01 model that had been secured with a lock — from a rack around 8 p.m. July 6 on the 900 block of Davis Street.
A blue and white Next Avalon bicycle, which had been locked to a sign, was stolen sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. July 6 on the 2400 block of Lincoln Street.
The state sticker on a license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked on the street around 6:48 p.m. July 6 on the 2400 block of Lincoln Street.
A Compaq silver notebook computer was stolen from the Frances Willard House sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. July 6, during the historical site’s open hours, on the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue.
An orange and black Thurster bicycle, left unlocked, was stolen from the sidewalk around 7:36 p.m. July 6 on the 1900 block of Church Street.
Someone stole a Trek bicycle that had been locked to a bike rack around 4:15 p.m. July 6 on the 1400 block of Sheridan Road.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
A 2005 Chrysler was stolen from an auto repair lot sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday and 10:50 a.m. Monday on the 600 block of Pitner Avenue. The four-door, blue vehicle bore an Illinois license plate with the number 6363108.
Two males broke the window of a 1993 Honda and tampered with the steering column as it was parked on the street around 4:17 a.m. July 7 on the 1300 block of Brummel Street.
A male thief stole a 1993 Honda off the street around 9:40 p.m. July 6 on the 100 block of Clyde Avenue. The maroon, four-door car has a damaged rear bumper, and the license plate number is L396795.
SHOTS-FIRED REPORT
Someone heard five shots around 10:30 p.m. July 6 on the 100 block of Grey Avenue. Police checked the area but found nothing.
DRUGS
Orwin Ashton Arthurs, 31, of 1811 Brown Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at 2201 Dempster St. and charged with possession of marijuana. He is due in court July 22.
Ricky Allen Byrdsong, 20, of 2507 Lincoln St., Evanston, was arrested Friday at 2:16 a.m. Friday at 2719 Hurd Ave. and charged with possession of marijuana. He is due in court July 18.
Kimani Andre Gallimore, 20, of 2417 W. Fargo Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. July 7 at that address and charged with possession of marijuana. He is due in court July 25.
CHILD ENDANGERMENT
Brandon Nichols, 23, of 1315 McDaniel Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 1 p.m. Friday at that address and charged with endangering the life/health of a child. He is due in court Aug. 5.
ALCOHOL
Robert Lee Hall III, 20, of 2110 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 10:11 p.m. Friday at 807 Howard St. and charged with illegal possession of liquor by a minor. He is due in court July 29.
Erick D. Cattouse, 18, of 700 Custer Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 9:19 p.m. Monday at that address and charged with illegal possession of liquor by a minor. He is due in court July 29.
Jerome Smith, 57, of 9640 Gulf Terrace, Des Plaines, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. Friday and charged with an alcohol ordinance violation. He is due in court Aug. 2.
STOLEN PROPERTY
Teresa Ola Magsby, 41, of 8109 S. Bennett Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. July 7 at 1221 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, and charged with possession of stolen property. She is due in court Aug. 5.
PROTECTION VIOLATION
Anthony Antione Martin, 33, of 1719 Grey Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 4:39 p.m. July 7 at 1710 Dodge Ave. and charged with violating an order of protection. His court appearance was scheduled for July 13.
SHOTS-FIRED REPORT
Someone reported that they heard shots fired around 12:37 a.m. Sunday on the 1600 block of Emerson Street. Police checked the area but had nothing to report.
WARRANT ARRESTS
Police reported the arrests of two Evanston residents last week on unspecified warrants: Alexon Cartleton Arceneaux, 26, of 1329 Pitner Ave., was arrested at 8:39 p.m. July 5 at 3320 Dempster St.; and Carl Hubert Dennison, 28, of 1407 Foster St., was arrested at 10:30 p.m. July 6 at that address. Dennison is due in court Aug. 3. No court information was listed for Arceneaux.
