Evanston: No parking restrictions expected
Evanston snow plows are out and plowing curb to curb when possible, and parking restrictions are not expected at this time, James Maiworm, the city’s superintendent of Streets and Sanitation, reported as of late this afternoon.
As of 4 p.m., there was 2.1 inches of snow at the Evanston Service Center, Maiworm said.
Snow routes have been plowed curb to curb where possible, he said, and are wet and slushy.
Residential streets are snow covered to slushy with extra crews currently working to open up side streets before rush hour, he said.
Given the good conditions of the snow routes and warm temperatures overnight, no parking restrictions are expected at this time, he said.
