Evanston police blotter for Feb. 21, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.
BURGLARY
Jose Cortes, 18, of 6333 N. Whipple, Chicago, was arrested at 443 Asbury at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 16 and charged with four counts of burglary from a motor vehicle. He is due in court March 12.
Copper water piping was removed from the rear door of a single family residence Feb. 15 on the 1700 block of Grey Avenue.
A Garmin GPS was taken from an unlocked 2006 Lexus Feb. 11 while it was parked on the 2600 block of Harrison Street.
BATTERY
Kendra Nicole Beckford, 22, of 7403 N. Ridge, Chicago, was arrested at the police station, 1454 Elmwood, on Saturday at 10:40 a.m., and charged with simple battery. Beckford is due in court March 1.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
David T. Maimonis, 26, of 1402 Central St., Evanston, was arrested at 2 a.m. Feb. 16 at that address and charged with domestic battery. Maimonis was due in court Feb. 22.
DRUGS
Curtis Russel Buck, 51, of 1929 Drake, Chicago, was arrested at at 5 p.m. Friday at 1935 Brown Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due in court March 28.
Floyd D. Gibert, 28, of 4831 Conrad Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 8:11 p.m. Feb. 19 at 2129 Central Park Ave. and charged with possession of marijuana. Gibert is due in court March 2.
DUI
D’Andre Taylor Daye, 20, of 1511 Brummel, was arrested at 3:51 a.m. Feb. 11 at Lake and Ridge and charged with driving under the influence. Daye is due in court March 16.
Natalie J. Duarte, 38, of 723 Dobson St., Evanston, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. Feb. 20 at 116 Ridge Ave. and charged with driving under the influence. Duarte is due in court March 28.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A vehicle’s driver’s side front door and hood were damaged Feb. 14 while it was parked on the 1800 block of Dodge.
Three windows and a windshield were smashed on Monday while the vehicle was parked on the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue.
THEFT
Various North Face jackets and other items of clothing were taken from a business on the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue on Saturday.
AUTO THEFT
A four door 2003 Nissan was stolen from the street on the 400 block of Sherman Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Feb. 16. The car had a Murano botanical sticker on its windshield.
