The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.
ASSAULT
Police are investigating a domestic-related assault that occurred around 6:30 p.m. Monday on the 2000 block of Warren Street.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone wrote graffiti on state-supported property on the street around 5:31 p.m. Monday at Sherman Avenue and South Boulevard. Around the same time Monday, someone also wrote graffiti on state-supported property in an alley on the 500 block of Sherman Avenue.
BATTERY
A victim was punched in the face multiple times by a woman around 8:24 p.m. Tuesday in an incident on the sidewalk on the 1800 block of Foster Street.
DRUGS
Precious S. Jobe, 22, of 723 Dodge Ave., Evanston, and Cojuan D. Ruffin, 36, of 1520 Dempster St., Evanston were arrested at 9:57 a.m. Tuesday at 1710 Monroe St. and charged with possession of marijuana. They are due in court March 1.
OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE
Augustina O. Avre, 30, of 6021 N. Winthrop Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. Tuesday at Sheridan Road and Sheridan Square and charged with obstructing justice. Avre is due in court March 9.
