The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.
BATTERY
A woman hit her victim on the head around 4:05 p.m. Friday in an incident that took place in the public area of the shopping mall on the 2400 block of Main Street.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Eric G. Valdovinos, 33, of 339 Howard St., Evanston, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Friday and charged with aggravated domestic battery. He is due in court Feb. 8.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Ricco D. Houston, 23, of 2115 Emerson St., Evanston, was arrested at 12:14 a.m. Jan. 21 at 709 Dobson St. and charged with aggravated assault. He is due in court March 1.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone damaged the driver’s side rear tire of a 2002 Kia parked sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26 on the 600 block of Sheridan Road.
RETAIL THEFT
Two bottles of Absolut Vodka and two bottles of Grey Goose vodka were stolen from the Jewel supermarket around 11:15 p.m. Sunday on 1100 block of Chicago Avenue.
A locked black Canon Vale bicycle was stolen around 10:22 p.m. Friday off the sidewalk at Davis Street and Chicago Avenue.
A locked tan and orange Schwinn bicycle was stolen off the sidewalk around 8:58 p.m. Friday on the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue.
Some mail was stolen sometime between Nov. 1 and 10 a.m. Sunday from the common area of a residential building on the 1700 block of Emerson Street.
ALCOHOL
Kalpesh S. Kant, 41, of 9019 Keating Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Saturday at Evanston 1st Liquors, 1019 Davis St., and charged with liquor sale to a minor. He is due in court Feb. 7.
DUI
Garrett M. Williams, 27, of 1656 W. Juneway Terrace, Chicago, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. Jan. 26 at Dempster Street and Ridge Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He is due in court Feb. 23.
BREACH OF PEACE
Dimitri J. Juste, 27, of 10384 Michael Todd Terrace, Glenview, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. Friday at 116 Callan Ave. and charged with breach of peace. Juste is due in court Feb. 17.
TRESPASS
Guy E. Peterson, 27, 1420 Chicago Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 3:25 a.m. Saturday at 524 Sheridan Square and charged with criminal trespass to land. He is due in court March 1.
