Evanston police blotter for Jan. 25, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.
BURGLARY
A table saw, a Milwaukee brand electric saw and a router were stolen from a residential garage sometime between 4 p.m. Friday and noon Tuesday on the 200 block of Custer Avenue.
Someone forced open the front door of single-family home sometime between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 2000 block of Church Street. Nothing was reported as stolen, however.
THEFT
Two Samsung cell phones were stolen off the kitchen table of an apartment around 1 p.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Ashland Avenue.
Some clothing was stolen from the common area of a residential building around 12:14 p.m. Saturday on the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A man damaged the windshield of a 1992 Acura parked in an alley around 5:13 a.m. Monday on the 300 block of Custer Avenue.
STOLEN AUTO
Alexander Nicklas, 25, of 5528 N. Kenmore Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Monday at 7545 N. Clark St. in Chicago and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. He is due in court Feb. 16.
