Evanston police blotter for Jan. 19, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court, Skokie, unless indicated otherwise.
THEFT
Someone stole money and a purple cheetah wallet, along with its contents, around noon Friday at a school on the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT
Ruben L. Dunning, 35, of 5038 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Tuesday on the 7600 block of North Bell Avenue in Chicago and charged with retail theft of an Xbox video-game system at Best Buy on the 2300 block of Howard Street. Dunning is due in court Feb. 16.
BURGLARY
Gary D. Walker, 18, of 1827 Lyons St., Evanston, and a 16-year-old juvenile from far north suburban Zion were arrested Tuesday on the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue and charged with residential burglary. No court information was available for the juvenile. Walker is due in court Jan. 27.
Two male suspects used a key to open the front door of an apartment and remove a 22-inch Vizio flat-screen television, a 19-inch Coby television with a built-in digital video disc player, an AT&T cable remote control and a remote control for the Coby set. The burglary occurred around 2:35 p.m. Tuesday on the 1000 block of Dewey Avenue.
DISOBEDIENCE TO POLICE
Amber P. Jones, 18, of 1420 Fowler Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 3:59 p.m. Wednesday on the 1700 block of Brown Avenue and charged with disobedience to police. Jones is due in court Feb. 17.
