Family Friendly: Park District invites kids to hop on over
Updated: March 21, 2013 10:20AM
Kids may not see Peter Cottontail hopping along the Spring Bunny Trail but they will meet one of his relatives at Northbrook Park District’s free holiday event, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at West Park, 1730 Pfingsten Road.
The Bunny will pose for photos but he’s not the only attraction.
“We will be having a deejay and a magic show, Magic by Randy. He’s very popular in the area,” Leisure Services Supervisor Natalie Lyman said.
There will also be an egg hunt.
“We have it broken up into three different age groups,” Lyman reported. Kids ages 3 and younger hunt at 2:15 p.m., followed by ages 4-5 and 6-10.
In addition, there will be temporary tattoos, face painting and a balloon twister.
“We also have a golf game where there will be bunny targets in the grass,” Lyman said.
There’s no charge for the event but food will be sold, including kid-friendly selections.
