Three masked robbers, one armed with a gun, entered an Evanston home Tuesday afternoon and stole a PlayStation 3 and games from a teenager.
A 15-year-old boy was home alone in the 200 block of Hartrey Avenue about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday when he thought he heard “familiar voices” in the backyard, Evanston police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.
The teen opened the door and saw three males, all wearing masks, one of whom was armed with a handgun, Parrott said. They ordered him to the ground, and then to a room while they went through the house.
Once the robbers had left, the teen discovered his PlayStation 3 and some video games were missing, Parrott said.
Police suspect other teens were involved in the burglary, and Evanston juvenile detectives are investigating.
