A new fitness studio will receive a boost from the city in facade improvements funds approved July 28.
Aldermen approved financial assistance for a facade improvement project for Fitness Avenues, located at 1910 Main St., on a 50/50 cost-sharing basis not to exceed $1,890.
The funding is made possible through the Economic Development Fund’s Business District Improvement fund, officials noted. The fund’s approved budget totals $147,000 and $6,178 has been spent to date.
The money is to go toward the installation of new signage for the studio, in the form of red illuminated channel letters showing the business name, officials said.
