Parents and kids are celebrating the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer program with the Child Care Center of Evanston’s annual jamboree. According to the release:
The kids had a ball. Who wouldn’t? Hotdogs on the grill, cotton candy, and tons of games. All in the beautifully landscaped and spacious back yard/play area of the Center.
“While helping working parents with their childcare needs is one of our purposes,” stated Executive Director Lindsay Percival, “the other, which is essential to a child’s development, is to provide the type of educational program that stimulates their brains to grow and to increase their learning ability. The news is regularly reporting on children getting the proper brain stimulation so they can continue to learn well throughout their schooling experience. And we’re doing it.”
The Child Care Center of Evanston, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, has been a mainstay in the Evanston community for early childhood education and childcare for working parents. If you have been connected to the Center in any way, please go to our website www.childcarecenterofevanston.org to take a brief survey of memories you have of the Center so we can share them.
