Police Blotter: Chicago woman charged with battery in Evanston

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

Evanston

BATTERY

Alyssa Rae Jakob, 26, of 11136 S. Trumbull Ave., Chicago, was taken into custody at the police station, 1454 N. Elmwood Ave., on July 2 and charged with simple battery. She is due in court July 31.

ALCOHOL

Zorig Nyamjav, 49, of 3643 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, was arrested at 519 Chicago Ave., on July 3 and charged with driving while under the influence. He is due in court July 28.

Jerell D. Williams, 23, of 2110 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 1950 Green Bay Road on July 6 and charged with driving while under the influence. He is due in court Aug. 4.

DRUGS

Kevin D. Houston, 32, of 8131 Knox Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 406 Callan on July 3 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is due in court July 22.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Chauncey A. Hammell, 22, of 820 Judson Ave., was arrested 800 Washignton St. on July 6 and charged with criminal damage to property. He is due in court August 21.

OTHER

Dwight A. Barrett, 34, of 7501 N. Ridge Ave., was arrested at 7544 N. Claremont Ave., on July 2 and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He is due in court Aug. 14.
