EVANSTON — The city will host its third and final session in a series of race dialogues titled “My Evanston, My Neighbors: Constructive Dialogues on Race, Understanding and Our Hopes for Evanston.”

Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl invites residents from all over Evanston to participate.

The dialogue will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 24 in the gymnasium of the Robert Crown Center, 1701 Main St.

The dialogue, which focuses on the topic of institutional racism, was preceded by earlier dialogues on Aug. 9 and Oct. 25. Residents attending this final dialogue will be encouraged to remain engaged in alternative forums, events and activities related to race relations.

“Evanston continues to be a very diverse community and it is this diversity that helps define us as such a wonderful community in which to live, work and play,” Tisdahl said.

Individuals requesting additional information regarding the event can contact Godwin Chen at 847-448-8296 or gchen@cityofevanston.org.
